Our Purpose
Our Vision: A regional church sharing the Life-giving message of Jesus with West Georgia and the world.
Our Strategy
We are accomplishing this by providing a healthy, exciting and empowering environment for people to:
- worship God (Love).
- develop an "others-focused" lifestyle (Serve).
- make a positive impact for Jesus (Reach).
- mature in their relationship with God (Grow).
- enjoy meaningful, enriching relationships (Connect).
We Believe:
-
In the Trinity. There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and coeternal.
-
In the Lordship of Jesus Christ, fully man and fully God. He is the Son of God, born of a virgin, conceived by God the Father through the Holy Spirit. He is the only man to ever live a sinless life. He was crucified for all humanity and God resurrected Him on the third day. Our fulfillment and destiny is found in Jesus.
-
The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority for determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, the Bible is inspired, infallible and inerrant.
-
In the present day ministry of the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Godhead. He desires to reproduce the miracle ministry of Jesus in every believer.
-
The church is the Body of Christ and should walk in Supernatural Love and Power. Every believer is a minister of the Gospel and should walk in the fruit and gifts of the Spirit. We have a spiritual unity with our Lord and with all other believers.
-
In the Rapture and Second Coming of Jesus as two separate and physical events.
-
Man is the supreme object of God's creation and was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or in union with God, through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
-
Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never make up for sin through self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his/her life by faith.
-
Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the believer. Therefore, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity.
-
In the two sacraments of water baptism (total immersion) and the Lord's Supper. These are symbolic of the regenerative work of God's grace in our lives and the communion we share with God and every other believer.
-
Christianity is not adherance to rules and regulations, but a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.
